Put something here

I took it upon myself to be the person to "fill in the blanks" at the end of the day, but I forgot all about it until just now, and I'm way too tired to think of anything to put here. Basically, IOU three articles. As penance, I will write a 1000 word essay on any topic you choose. First three people to reply can pick my subject. Feel free to make it either ridiculous or serious, since I have trouble telling the two apart anyway.

Only one topic per person!

(This is a placeholder for the first of the three topics, with the above placed below the text)

I must say the promise of "every day in June" was rather heavy. I don't think we've posted every day for a month solid, ever. Quite a challenge, considering hardly anyone reads this thing :)

Anyway, the topic I submit to you is: Shakespeare predicted the downfall of Iraq. Discuss.

Firstly, let me say that this is an excellent idea. Can we give you more topics to talk about in the future?

My topic suggestion (a serious [and possibly boring] one, unfortunately, but feel free to add humour to it):

The effectiveness of "tax breaks". Would the government be better off spending the money either retiring debt or investing in infrastructure/public facilities/more funding for public health & education etc. OR should the government be going ahead with providing tax breaks of $50-100 per week for well off high-income earning people and $6 a week for low income earners?

Hmm.. one of these two:

* How do you change the world when it's filled with idiots who don't care

-- or --

* Talk about the joys of popping bubble wrap.

If I must pick one of the two, try the latter. =)
