An unexpected direction

I'm hoping to hear back from Citect soon, I sent my resume to someone who used to be at software company I work for a year and a half ago. They do "SCADA, HMI and MES Industrial Automation software", it wasn't something that I had in mind when I started on bioinformatics five and a half years ago, but after looking into it, I've become both excited and quite scared.

I had a fascination for industrial computer systems for some time but never looked into it bhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifefore, so I'm finding details about that industry for the first time. I'm worried however as it has an unhealthy liking for Microsoft products, they even use Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, aka Microsoft's Source Destruction System, My friend was telling me how at a previous company the 1 GB database would get corrupted frequently.

I had an interview with Citect yesterday, it went well enough, I'll need to brush up for the next one though. That and I need to think about moving closer to Gordon. *sigh*
