Take it or leave it

This article from the Sydney Morning Herald really speaks for itself, I don't think I can add anything more to it, apart from - this is only the beginning!

Whether we ever find out the REAL story on the 29 Abattoir workers in Cowra, I will never know.

Lol. I just finished reading that article before I loaded up quaddmg.

On a more serious note what the government has effectivly done is make it so that if you enter into a "contract" for employment there is no actual legal obligation for the employer to be kept to their word.

Down the track the government is looking at doing away with further legal obligations that employers currently have to employees. For example. Next year employers won't actually have to pay you if they don't feel like it.

Prime Minister John Howard was quoted as saying "It'll be a great incentive for busineses to hire employees thus helping us achive lower unemployment while keeping down inflationary pressures."

When criticised that families would starve without a source of income. Mr Howard was quick to point out that this wouldn't allow employers to escape their legal obligations under the minimum wage act. These obligations or "safty nets" detail that each employee must be given 200 grams of bread and 4.5 cups of water per 12 hours of work.

Opposition groups including works rights activits and unions have slammed the preposals as a throw back to slavery. They were quickly dismissed by a government spokes person whom stated that unions are irrelavant in todays robust and globally competitive economy proven by the lack of unions or opposition parties in the Peoples Republic of China which is one of the largest exporter of trade goods to the world today.

Michael: So the first thing I thought was "your 'e' key is stuffed."

Secondly, I think most of the stuff you've written is a joke, right?

I mean, China?

Tim: Yeah I saw this on Sunrise. I was incredulous. These guys were like joking about it. I think we need to start a mob.

More of the same.
